
Dr. Asad Nawaz, Pakistani male, born in 1993, PhD graduate (2016-2019) from Huazhong Agriculture University, Wuhan. He is currently working as an Associate professor at School of Chemistry and Biological Engineering, Hunan University of Science and Engineering. He holds two post doctorates from Yangzhou university (2019-2021) under the supervision of Prof. Robert G Gilbert and Shenzhen University (2021-2023) under the supervision of Prof. Ka-Wing Cheng.
Research direction: Meat safety, food additives, polyphenol-protein interaction; metabolomics, proteomics, lipidomic, protein oxidation; food chemistry; meat processing; food borne toxicants in meat and meat-based products.
Scientific research work: Dr. Asad has published more than 100 SCI papers in reputed journal including Food Chemistry, Food Research International, Food Hydrocolloids, Trends in Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering. He has been the editorial board member/guest editor of many journals. He has edited his own book entitled “Berry Bioactive compounds By-products.
